First Aid & CPR Wisconsin
In Wisconsin, residential settings for vulnerable adults and seniors — community-based residential facilities (CBRF/assisted living), nursing homes and home-care services — depend on care staff who can act quickly in a medical emergency. To protect residents, these settings require front-line staff to be trained in first aid, and CPR is commonly expected.
Community-based residential facilities (CBRF, assisted living), nursing homes (long-term care) and home-care services; CBRF staffing standards are set in Wisconsin Admin. Code DHS 83.
Care staff on site must be prepared to respond to a resident emergency. In Wisconsin assisted living (CBRF, DHS 83.20), every employee must complete first aid and choking-relief training within 90 days of employment; CPR is not expressly state-mandated but is commonly required by home-care employers.
A recognized, up-to-date first-aid and CPR certificate is the way to meet these standards; it is in addition to the staff's occupational training and must be renewed periodically.
我们严格遵循 ILCOR(International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation)的建议,该国际机构负责对全球复苏标准进行科学评估与制定。
